The last part of the journey is a walk. Leave the car at our designated meeting point in Jana; we will meet you there, carry the bags and walk up with you.
The Lazy and Slow is in an apple orchard above Jana village, near Naggar in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu Valley. The uphill approach usually takes 15–30 minutes. You do not have to find the path or carry your luggage on your own.
Before setting off, send us your travel plan and expected arrival time. Use our designated arrival-point map for the final drive. The meeting point is operated separately and is where we coordinate parking and the walk up.
From Chandigarh
Allow roughly five to six hours by road to the Jana arrival point in usual conditions, followed by the walk. Treat that as an estimate before longer breaks, heavy traffic or weather-related delays.
If you are arranging a driver, share the arrival-point map rather than asking simply for “Naggar.” Let us know when you leave Chandigarh and update us if your timing changes. Aim to arrive with daylight left where possible, particularly on your first visit.
From Delhi
You can drive towards the Kullu–Manali area or travel by an intercity bus and arrange the final road transfer to Jana. If taking a bus, send us the service and its proposed drop-off point before you book. We can help you work out the most practical onward arrangement.
Different services have different stops and arrival times. A stop described as convenient for Manali may not be the one that best suits your journey to Jana. Have the last transfer settled before boarding, especially if the bus arrives early in the morning or late at night.
From Kullu–Manali Airport at Bhuntar
The airport-to-Jana drive is roughly an hour and a half in usual conditions, followed by the walk to the orchard. Share your flight details so the transfer can be coordinated around your actual arrival.
Check flight availability directly with your airline. For a return flight, allow time for the walk down as well as the drive and airport formalities. We will help you plan the collection time.
From Manali or Kullu
We can help arrange a taxi from either town. Send us your pickup location, guest count and luggage details. Ask for the current journey estimate and agree the transfer fare before travelling; transport is arranged separately from your stay.
If you are making your own way, follow current local advice for the approach. A navigation app’s shortest route is not always the most useful one on mountain roads.
For the walk up
Wear comfortable shoes with grip. Keep a warm layer and rain protection somewhere you can reach without opening all your luggage. We carry the bags, but the path itself is uneven and uphill.
Tell us before booking if you have an injury, mobility concern or any uncertainty about managing it. That conversation helps us give you an honest answer about whether the stay suits you.
We welcome guests throughout the year, and arrival remains on foot in every season. Rain, snow or ice can change the path, so check conditions with us close to your journey.
When to arrive
Check-in is from 1 pm and check-out is by 11 am. If your transport arrives earlier, or you expect to reach Jana after dark, speak with us in advance so we can coordinate the meeting and luggage transfer.
Once the arrangements are made, keep our number and the map available offline. Then leave enough room in the journey for a stop when you need one. We will be here to meet you for the last stretch.
Send us your arrival plan. You can also read the practical FAQs or what to expect in each season.
